Article Abstract
The authors evaluated the long-term clinical outcome of neurosarcoidosis and determined predictive factors of disease course. Twenty-seven patients with neurosarcoidosis were follow3ed for at least 5 years from the onset of neurologic symptom s. Patients with CNS involvement during the course of the disease had a higher Modified Oxford Handicap Scale score than those with peripheral nervous system involvement (p<0.02). CNS involvement may be a predictive factor for a less favorable disease cou rse. Early and intensive treatment should be considered in such cases.
